Open Female
Indoor COMPETITION - TUESDAY NIGHT

Our Open Female Indoor Competition is played on a Tuesday night, indoors, at the Bass Coast Community Stadium.
We run the competition twice per year, during the Autumn Season (February - June) & Winter Season (April - September).
Games are played from 6:30pm, with all games concluded by 8:30pm.

Our Open Female competitions are open to female players, aged 14+.

We welcome first-timers to seasoned players, teams and individuals of all skill levels and experience. Join the fun!

AUTUMN 2026 GAME DAY faq.

  • 6:30pm
    7:30pm

    Game times are indicative only.
    Final times will be confirmed closer to the commencement of the season.

  • 4 × 12 minute quarters per game
    Quarter time breaks are 2 minutes
    Half time break is 2 minutes

    Scoring
    Each team must supply a scorer. Scoring to be completed on a printed score sheet.
    Scorers must stand together.
    Scorers must mark center passes as well as the score
    Any discrepancies between score sheet and score board, the score sheet takes precedence.
    Winning team to return the score sheet.

  • All games are held at the Bass Coast Community Stadium, located within the Bass Coast College - Wonthaggi Senior Precinct at:
    2 McKenzie Street, Wonthaggi
    (You can also search Bass Coast College - Wonthaggi Campus on Google Maps.)

    There is free parking available in the Bass Coast Stadium car park: access via. the main entrance, follow the driveway to the end, proceed around the roundabout, and enter the car park. Additional free parking is available along the stadium driveway.

Joining faq.

  • Our Open Female competitions are open to females aged 14+.

    Players may participate in any affiliated competition that aligns with their gender identity.
    Legal sex classification does not affect eligibility. For more details please see Netball Victorias ‘Transgender & Gender Diverse Policy’.

    If there is interest in a male or mixed competition, we’d love to hear from you, your feedback helps shape the programs we develop in the future.

    Alternatively, you can register your interest as an individual player here and we will assist in finding you a team.

  • Participation in our Open Female - Tuesday Night Autumn or Winter Competition requires payment of two separate fees.

    The first fee is the Netball Victoria Membership: View Pricing (2026).
    This Membership provides player insurance through Netball Australia’s National Insurance Program. It provides coverage for the entire calendar year and enables you to participate in any Netball Competition during that year.

    The second fee is the W&DNA Open Female - Tuesday Night Autumn or Winter Competition Entry Fee.
    This fee covers your teams entry in our Open Female - Tuesday Night Autumn or Winter Competition.

  • To be registered in a team for our competition you will need to have a current Netball Vic Membership.

    When it is time to pay your competition fees, W&DNA will send your nominated Team Contact/Representative (adult) a Registration Link to Netball Victoria’s Netball Connect online registration platform. Your team representative will then be able to register your team in Netball Connect as an ‘Individual Entity Team’.

    Your team representative will have the option to either:
    - pay the full team Competition registration fee upfront, or
    - send individual fee requests to the players listed in the team.

    Fees must be paid prior to the commencement of the Season.

  • Netball Connect is our Competition Management Platform run by Netball Victoria. It takes care of competition registration and player insurance through Netball Australia’s National Insurance Program. It also provides a platform for scoring, results, player statistics, ladders, all in one handy location.
