Coaching & Umpiring
All coaches & umpires are encouraged to download a free copy of the Rules of Netball issued by World Netball. English version accessible from the button below:
We find that regularly referring to the official rule book helps coaches & umpires build confidence in the correct terminology, regulations, court layout, hand signals, and all other components involved in coaching & officiating a netball match.
Combining your rule knowledge with on-court experience is the best way to strengthen your skills and progress on your coaching & umpiring pathway.
You can find helpful educational videos and resources on the World Netball Website, as well as the World Netball - Rules of Netball - 2024 Edition in Spanish, Hebrew & Chinese.
Child safety requirements
All Coaches & Umpires aged 18 and over must hold a current Volunteer Working with Children Check (WWCC).
A Volunteer WWCC (no fee) can be obtained from Service Victoria (Australian Government Website).
You can access the application details via. the button below:
Each season we ask that you provide a copy of your WWCC to your Club Administrator.
If you are not affiliated with a Club, please forward your WWCC directly to the Wonthaggi District Netball Association Secretary: wdnawonthaggi@outlook.com
Failure to provide a WWCC will inhibit your ability to Coach or Umpire on game day.
